"There are no good girls gone wrong, just bad girls found out."- Mae West

I just watched Anton Corbijn’s Control last night. If you aren’t familiar with it, the film is about the life and death of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis. It was excellent and Sam Riley, who played Curtis, should have won an academy award. I thought it was brilliant that Corbijn, whose photographs of the band really established their visual identity to the world, got to direct the film. And it was really perfect that the film was in black and white, because the band was mostly seen (and shot by Corbijn) in black and white. If you are a Joy Division fan, you really should see it.
